How to Commission an oil painting
The first step is to send your photo by email to me liz@oilpaintmypet.com
To create a detailed Pet Portrait painting a good quality photograph is required. This means one where the subject is in focus (particularly the head) and the subject fills the frame. The better the quality of photograph, then the better the finished painting will be. Photographs showing subjects in the distance aren't usually good enough to work from.
We can then discuss the composition of the pet portrait painting and the size of painting – or perhaps discuss background changes if necessary.
The more photographs you can send the better. I work from one main photograph for all subjects however do like to have others to refer to. Also let me know which depicts his/her true colouring. The more information I have the better.
Once you have decided on composition a deposit is required a cheque/pay pal payment for 50% of agreed price. You will be given an estimated time for completion of your Pet portrait which will depend on the workload at the time (5-6 weeks)
When the Pet Portrait painting is ready you will be sent a photograph of the painting for your approval. When you are completely satisfied I will ask you to send balance of payment either by cheque, or pay pal.
Delivery of your Pet Portrait is extra and the price depends on whether the painting is rolled or framed
Your oil painting is then sent by DHL

The ideal gift if you have run out of time to order a portrait, or if you would prefer the recipient to choose the photo etc .Available for any price of portrait, and valid for one year from the date of issue. Vouchers are professionally printed cards with my artwork.
